Tea, Scones & Unwanted Dances

One of the things Ada enjoyed at Lutwidge was the social events the school hosted to promote and teach their students etiquette in social settings as they all matured further into young adults. And Ada being the class representative had slightly higher expectations to adhere to, as if she had an issue doing such a thing. She did many things to help arrange the social gathering, thought certainly not all of it. Ada was only one person after all.
Decorating was Ada’s favorite task to do when preparing for a social event at the school. Decorating the location, having everything look appropriately done up but not overly so. Ensuring everything was in place with refreshments, and entertainment, Ada did most all of it. Aside from the seating charts this time though.
A gown of pale pink, her favorite color, Ada’s hair free fell down her back with small portions pinned up on the crown of her head to create some depth to the blonde locks. Makeup was minimal, but accentuated her delicate features. One of her nicer dresses that her Uncle Oscar had sent in just for the tea, she’d forgotten how much she liked this dress.
Greeting all her classmates as they came in to the outdoor veranda that the socialization portion was taking place at, Ada was all smiles to each and every one that came through the door, whether they were accompanied or not. When a certain blond came in sight however, Ada’s smile faltered for the briefest of seconds.

She was happy to see him of course, but whether or not he would feel the same was was such a hard thing to gauge. Elliot would get a wave and smile from Ada as he walked past, and Ada resolved to try and converse with him at least once during the social event. She was nothing if not determined to try and show him that they could in fact be friends despite their families.
