To accompany her, he took two or three sips of his fake wine and watched her reluctant to drink her own. While he knew that that was something the girl probably wouldn’t have done in normal conditions, it was extremely pleasant to know that she would step out of her comfort zone without complaining or saying a word just to please him. Another great sign. Job well done. Of course he wouldn’t say a word about it – just going to pretend he didn’t know it was wrong to drink before twenty one years of age. The blond had started much before that either way. Alcohol , it had a strange effect one people – knowing just like his brother, he had low tolerance to it, it was something he avoided. What would happen to her though?

“Oh, so is Miss Ada’s favorite season spring?” He didn’t like any of the seasons, especially winter. Autumn was the less annoying one if he had to choose. The blond seemed eager to her, and to whatever he was saying – and in fact, he indeed was. He wanted to learn what he could about her.

It’s not that Ada was complaining about this particular step out of her comfort zone. She’d seen her uncle drink more than a few times, becoming either pleasantly tipsy or slightly raucous but still manageable. She’d yet to witness any truly deplorable behavior while someone was intoxicated, but she’d heard that it can do such a thing to a person if drunk in great enough quantities, which she certainly wouldn’t be doing. Ada wasn’t quite that foolish to leave herself inebriated. She trusted Vincent to take care of her in any case.

Ada paused for a moment, mulling over his question in her mind.

image

“Yes, I think it is. I love the winter as well, back when I was little my brother and I would enjoy playing out in the snow until my uncle would make us come in so we didn’t get sick. Gilbert would play with us too sometimes after he joined our household, he’d protest of course but Oz and I would always want him playing with us too. But spring is nice, watching the snow melt and the trees start growing back in, flowers coming up, it getting warmer outside.”

The slight smile on her lips grew only a little as the memories passed across her mind, a thoughtful tone coming into her voice as well as she looked back up and her emerald eyes met Vincent’s mismatched pair. Eyes of his that she adored so much.

“What about you, have you always been partial to one over any of the others?”

aulrnt:

“But…For some reason, in my eyes, it looked like there was a sadness hidden behind his smile.”

heterochromatischen:

“Because ever since I first saw Miss Ada, I can’t seem to focus my vision into anyone else.”

Did it sound too cheesy? Well, too late to change it now. She’d probably like anything he said either way. He had some nicer pick-up lines he had saved for later. Leave the best ones to later; he was going to need them if he wanted to get on her pants. This one would have to do for the moment. It would cause enough of a reaction either way. A night of compliments – a night full of talking about Ada Vessalius, and how wonderful she was, as he knew well that women loved talking about themselves.

image

He let out a small smile seeing she like the roses. Yellow, the colour of betrayal. Surely she wouldn’t think of that. She would probably think on how beautiful the flowers were. Its thorns had been plucked off intentionally just for her to hold it. The blond pulled a chair for her to sit, serving her some wine and some grape juice (that he hoped she would mistake as wine) for himself. “The night is a bit cold today”, he mutters mostly to himself, though intending for her to hear it. Later that night, he wanted the girl to warm him up with her body. Though he wasn’t saying it, not now.

Cheesy or not, Ada still ate it up with a spoon. A blush was relatively quick to spread back up onto her cheeks; nothing overwhelming on her face, but a nice tinge of color anyway. Whether or not she’d actually let the entire conversation be dictated about her remained to be seen, because she wanted him to talk about himself as well.

She did indeed love the flowers, and Ada thanks Vincent quietly when he helped her into her chair and got them started with drinks. Upon lifting her own glass, the stronger scent from the wine reached her nostrils and the blonde hesitated for a moment. She’d had a sip on very rare occasions (namely only during holidays, but even then she would have a minimal amount put in her glass. Taking a deep breath to reassure herself, Ada allowed herself a small sip as well as a nod in response to Vincent’s musing.

“It’s still winter, it’s just unfortunate that it’s been this cold. I’m looking forward to spring though, watching everything come back in.”

She’s probably boring him already, but oh well. Can’t do much about what she doesn’t know.

heterochromatischen:

“I’ve always been ready to spend time with you, If I’m allowed to say so – .”

He would indeed kiss her, not just in the hand this time. In other places too. She seemed to be ready for that. Vincent would make her feel good in that night – or at least that was his plan. There were already some things for camping under the stars in the carriage, though not visible for those who were at the cabin. The blond too, was looking forward to that part of their planned date the most. There would be more room for him to do all sorts of things to her when nobody was looking. There was still this burning desire and lust of tainting her. It was hard to hold it for any longer. Yes, that night. She would remember it.

image

As they got into the carriage, Vincent gently took hold of her hand, and slowly and gradually started leaning into her. So warm. Why did this woman feel so warm? He shook the thoughts of his head, and dropped a random comment on how beautiful she was that night.

“I think I might be going blind, Miss Ada”, he comments very casually, not seemingly worried about the fact. He knew exactly where this was going to lead him off either way. As they arrived into the fancy restaurant, there was already a table waiting for them, some yellow flowers for Ada in the table along with some wine of the best quality. Hopefully she’d enjoy that.

“Y-Yes, you are allowed…”

Still flustering her Vincent, don’t do that too much while the night’s still young and there’s some time to go before you get to the ‘main event’. Surely he knew just how strong an effect he had on the youngest Vessalius, too much too soon would throw off some of the anticipation for what was to come. If only Ada knew exactly how much of it was.

Silly naive girl you are.

The atmosphere in the carriage was comfortable. Ada was relaxing once again, relaxing against him as well. Her hand fit nicely in his, or she thought so anyway.

The compliment was certainly welcomed, easy way to put Ada’s concerns at ease that she was aesthetically pleasing for him; she did want that after all. But the mention of him going blind, that caused her brows to furrow slightly in confusion.

image

“Going blind? What do you mean by that?. .”

She was quiet otherwise as she was ushered into the restaurant, her eyes staying up on him curiously as she waited for an elaboration on what he meant by that previous statement. Or, she would’ve had her attention not been diverted to the flowers on the table. The smile widened as wide as it could go on her lips, and Vincent’s arm got an appreciative squeeze.

heterochromatischen:

Vincent Nightray didn’t take too long to get himself ready – fifteen minutes, at the most. A quick shower, then he got dressed and brushed and tied his golden hair down. He thought of braiding it so he would look more handsome to her (Jack had his hair braided, so it’s just natural that braided hair is more beautiful), but alas, he is unfamiliar with the art of braiding hair, and Echo was far away busy with an errand Vincent himself ordered her to do so. Keeping his mane tied down would have to do for the moment. There wasn’t much thought on the clothes he combined, but it seemed to work perfectly nonetheless – and Vincent himself believed that women would like him in whatever clothing he chose. Because it was as simple as that.

While he actually arrived there in time because it was simply socially expected for him to do so, even if he had to wait, there were no expectations at all on having the woman to be on time as well. It had never happened, not once in his whole dating life. The blond brought a book to himself too. Not because he actually planned to read it – to tell you the truth, he has not even read the title of the series he randomly picked up from Elliot’s shelf. Holy Knight, by chance, but it didn’t matter, really. Practically anything he read would make him sleepy. The book is only there to speed the process up and by doing so, making the waiting process less tedious. Hopefully it would take her less than two hours as the table reservations for the restaurant wouldn’t wait that long.

image

                       Knock            Knock.

It was all ready for her, whenever she got ready. The carried, being pulled by two energetic stunning gypsy vanner mares didn’t seem as it could wait a minute more, though the blond had gone to the date with a lot of patience to wait. But it would be great that she actually got ready in the time, as it would give him more time to go on with his conquering.

As soon as the Nightray was making his initial entrance into the Vessalius manor, Ada’s handmaiden was coming back up to her room to tell her as such. The blonde hadn’t gotten that comfortable and seated with her book, not for that long a time anyway; five minutes at most. Not that she was complaining in the least, far from it. She could read the book whenever she had some free time, a date with Vincent took precedent.

She’d be bounding rather quickly down the stairs, stopping the momentum in plenty of time though that she was merely walking into the foyer, all smiled, composed and collected but still visibly eager nonetheless.

“Hello again. I’m ready whenever you are~”

Ada was excited to see where Vincent decided on for them to do dinner at, but she was more excited about the stargazing if she was going to be honest with herself. Innocent Ada was looking for some alone time where it was just the two of them, uninterrupted conversations, everything. She wouldn’t admit it aloud, but she was hoping perhaps he’d kiss her again. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that he had, but the feeling she got in her chest when he did, it just brought her further into his web and around his little finger. The Vessalius wasn’t necessarily anxious to hustle through the date, but that was what she was most excited for.

heterochromatischen:

“That would be lovely ~. I’ll be really looking forward tonight then. Let’s make it remarkable.”

Not the faintest idea on what restaurant he’d take her to – perhaps the one he usually used with all the ladies? It would have to do, as he had nothing else in mind. For stargazing, the choice was obvious. A remote place, far away from the city’s lights and people who could interrupt their date. Oh, they could up even sleeping at that faraway place, depending on the case. Surely it wouldn’t be a problem. Ada Vessalius was simply too easy.

image

He’d ask her how she liked camping later, preferably when she was drunk. Could he get her drunk without drinking a thing? He’d just embarrass himself if he got drunk. But having her to drink up a lot was a good idea. That was what he liked on the restaurant idea.  Watching the stars would be boring, really boring. Vincent didn’t appreciate being on the cold outside at night, as it brought up some bad memories, though he’d have Ada Vessalius to warm him up.

That was possibly Ada’s biggest problem in the situation, even if she wasn’t aware that it was a problem to begin with. She just blindly went along with whatever Vincent suggested. Not that he’d ever wanted to do something that she didn’t want to do or didn’t enjoy, but still. Whatever made him happy made her happy. He seemed to already be formulating an itinerary for them if the look on his face gave Ada any indication.

Tread carefully Vincent, Ada’s never had a drop of alcohol in her life, not even with the affinity her uncle had for partaking in it occasionally. She’s not of age, so of course she wasn’t going to risk getting in trouble. Taking that and her petite stature (chest doesn’t count), he most likely wouldn’t have to try too hard to get her under the influence.

Hopefully the excitement on her face wouldn’t annoy him too much unlikely but still, because that’s how she was looking at him right now. And holding onto his arm just a bit too. Don’t mind her Vincent, she’s just a girl in love.

“What time did you want me ready by? It’s getting a bit later in the afternoon after all.”

heterochromatischen:

                                                         “You.”

His answer was simple, though unlike much of what he said, it wasn’t a lie. He indeed needed her, not the way she probably thought he did, but nevertheless, he hoped that his answer would be enough to make her wonder.

image

“I was feeling lonely, so I have been wondering if Miss Ada would be kind enough to come for a date with me tonight. We could watch something in the theater – or maybe the stars, if you’re into watching stars. Or perhaps a dinner? Whichever suits Miss Ada the most. I just want to be with you.”

This was really a bother, but would have to happen eventually if he wanted his plan to go smoothly.

Amazing how one word was enough to send a blush creeping up her cheeks and her eyes to widen just a minute degree. It was just in the way that he said it. The underlying tone to his voice, she knew what he meant. Sort of. Ada was still quite naive in the ways of exactly how Vincent wanted to use her for; he still had some work to do.

“A-A date? Sure, that would be nice. I’ve missed you as well.”

image

Her eyes averted down just a little as she pondered the few options he rattled off. They’d just gone to the theater not long ago, but dinner and some stargazing sounded rather nice. Where exactly they would go for both would have to be decided, but Ada looked back up at him as soon as she made her decision.

“I think dinner would be lovely, wherever you’d like to go, and I haven’t laid out to look at the stars in some time. I wouldn’t mind that if you would like to.”

To be with someone like her, it really bothered him. Her presence, her voice, everything about her, it all annoyed him to an extreme. Yet, the blond felt drained. She was just a tool, so it wasn’t supposed to be like this. He’d do what he had to do with her and then leave her hopeless. Yes, that was what he was going to do. Of course he is not going to fall for her.

“Say, can we talk for a moment?”

Meanwhile while Vincent was busy internally loathing the presence of the woman he was about to speak to, Ada was nothing but happy to see him. She assumed him to be happy to see her too, so why would her face not express as such? So when Ada heard him ask for her for a moment, the blonde was quick to nod up at him and give Vincent her full attention.

“Of course Vincent, what did you need?”
